Last week I drove down to Madison, CT to meet up with a friend of mine. We decided to stop by one of the local beach areas to take a few pictures, as you can tell. It definitely wasn’t beach weather, but it felt good to take my shoes off and walk around in the sand. We are now reaching the last week of April! I can’t believe how fast time flies by. Soon enough I will be enjoying 80 degree weather and long summer nights.
This post will be the seventh post I have written. Before I started this blog I had no idea what I was doing; I didn’t know about all of the different hosting sites, how to create a website, and most certainly how to be in front of the camera. I never was one to take selfies or be a “model”. But as I continue to take more photos I have slowly started to feel more comfortable. All one can really do is just have fun with it. Every time I go to take photos I usually have a friend take my photos. They know what type of pictures I am looking for and how to get me to enjoy myself. That’s really all it takes. The hardest part is being creative. All I really want is for my pictures to be unique and personal to me. To represent who I am as a person and my life.
A couple of weeks ago I partnered with Free People New England (you can find them on instagram, @FPNewEngland). I am now a content contributor! I submit photos that I have photographed of others and photos that I make an appearance. If you check them out you will most definitely find me! I will share more later on!
Lastly, I am going to start a new thing with my Instagram. On certain photos I am going to use the hashtag #letsbereal and give a little insight on what is happening behind the scenes in that photo. Everything is definitely not what it appears on social media so I thought I would share what it is like for me to get the shot. For example, yesterday I posted a picture of the outfit I was wearing and I have to thank my self-timer for that one. A lot of trial and error trying to position the camera in the right spot and quickly getting into place. 10 seconds is definitely not enough time haha! Follow along on Instagram so you don’t miss out, @rumorfromthestreets.
